Slow cooked for about 8 hours and marinated in herbs and spices until melt-in-the-mouth succulent, this wholesome slice of ‘bun-porn’ will satisfy the hungriest of daters and most voracious of appetites. And, with payday still a week away, it’s easy on the bank balance too.

Ever tried bone marrow mash? It sits along side one tasty award winning Pulled-Pork shoulder. Don’t be put off by the basic decor though. Pitt Cue is all about a creative tasty menu that’s perfect for the gourmet foodie date or those who feel guilty for suggesting fast food on a first date…
Lazybones – Unit 5 Cowcross Street, EC1M 6DQ
It’s a pork sandwich, Jim, but not as we know it. Cooked in pale ale and served with a yogurt slaw of cabbage, carrot, fennel, beet and celeriac, expect messy chins and chops at this friendly and relaxed American diner-style eaterie.
Red Dog Saloon – 37 Hoxton Square, Shoreditch, N1 6NN
Stack ’em high is what this American food mecca does. This belly-bustin’ towering carb overload isn’t for the faint hearted. The Pork is ‘smoked’ and comes complete with mac n’ cheese, mashed potato and bacon. Get there hungry and then don’t eat for a week…
Hoxton Grill – 81 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HU
As the name suggests, Hoxton Grill is pretty pucker at all things BBQ and the Pulled-Pork brings ‘em back again and again. Served in burger form, it comes with Hoxton’s signature dish, ‘appleslaw.’ A few tables are held back for walk-in’s each evening too.
MEATliquor – 74 Welbeck Street W1G OBA
With industrial/retro/raunchy décor, this chilled restaurant and bar operate a ‘No meat no liquor’ policy but you’d hardly resist the mouth-watering Pulled Pork and other meat feasts on offer here. You can’t book so you may have to queue but it’s well worth the wait. *MEATliquor will be coming to Singapore singles soon!
