Google is always on step ahead than the rest of the world, no? Even when it comes to sex, it seems.
Forget ceilings and handheld mirrors, this new App, in development with Google Glass promises to let you see what you partner does during sex.
The downside? You have to wear a pair of specks while you make love – and get to see yourself from every angle, if you choose. Quite frankly, we think there must be some (angles) that are best avoided.
Developed by a Lebanese product design student, called Sherif Maktabi during London Wearable Hackathon in Novmber, the device sees a camera on each pair of glasses recording what each person can see. Wearers then stream their partner’s view to watch themselves during sex and the video can be replayed up to five hours afterwards, when it automatically deletes (just in case you were panicking about privacy issues).
The website says: “Having sex with Google Glass on brings a completely new perspective. Experience sex like never before. Simply swipe to a new perspective.
“And enjoy the new view. When you connect your phone, you can even see what it’s like from any angle.”
Talking about why he created the app, Maktabi said: “We want to change the way people experience things. We love using design and strategy to disrupt at scale. So when we asked ourselves the question ‘How can we make sex more awesome with Google Glass?’ We came up with Sex with Glass.’
Think it couldn’t get even more hi-tech? Think again – this app is controlled via voice commands, so saying ‘Ok glass, it’s time’ starts the recording and when everything is over, the wearer says, ‘Ok glass, pull out’, and it will create a video of the event. It also allows users to turn down the lights or turn up the music with just their voice and even suggests positions if you are running short of inspiration.
Wowsers! Were you concerned that we had fast-forwarded to the 22nd Century? Are you tempted to use this device? Tell us @lovestruck
