Dinner date, drinks date, coffee date… Theatre? Shopping? Cinema? Yawn! While all of these date options are perfectly OK, sometimes it can be a bit fun to think outside the box and do something totally different with your dating routine. Here are some fun ideas for dating in Singapore:
Not for the faint-hearted (or any veggies out there, obviously), WOLF is the first nose-to-tail dining experience in Singapore, where you can eat an entire animal from head to toe. Inspired by Michelin-starred eaterie St John in London, the restaurant focuses on pork, but other meat like beef, poultry and fish are served, too. The menu features eclectic cuts of meat and brave choices include Crispy Pig’s Ears, Grilled Beef Hearts or Beef Lips and Oxtail Stew. Nothing is wasted. If your date is a carnivore, this could be the perfect choice for them.
Do you feel the need, the need for speed? Do you fancy driving a Supercar? Ultimate Drive allows you to take one of their top models for a spin for 15 minutes (on the Street Circuit Tour) or up to an hour, starting with a warm-up on the F1 circuit (on the Ultimate Tour). You can drive or be driven and while you can’t go in the cars together, you can swap your Ferrari and Lamborghini half way round and can overtake and speed past each other. Be sure to get photographic evidence of that win! And girls…don’t let us down.
Are you looking for a coffee date with a difference? Then head to the cat café Neko no Niwa (meaning ‘cat garden’ in Japanese) and find a furry friend for a cuddle mid-date. The owners were inspired by the cat cafes in Japan and decided to open their own here. You pay an hourly fee to come and play and groom the resident moggies, while enjoying coffee and cake or ice cream.
Do you think you might be a hidden talent waiting to hit the big time? Do you belong on X-Factor? Or maybe you just like singing and can hold a tune? Head to Tang Music Box where you can embrace you inner Beyonce, Lady Gaga or Justin Beiber in one of the 25 specially designed rooms. For a date, a Mini Room option might be just the thing and you can duet until your heart’s content. If you’re feeling peckish, there is a bar and food menu, featuring among other things, Hello Kitty biscuits and caramel popcorn. We’re sold!
What better way than to get pampered than alongside your date? At Afond Spa, they have a host of sessions available for couples with specially–designed rooms, where you can choose from massages, body wraps, body scrubs and facials. Or for the ultimate treat, book a hydrotherapy bath treatment, like a Milk Bath or Floral Bath. Then once you’re feeling Zen and smelling sweet, you can take your pampered souls elsewhere…
