If you’re anything like us, your perfect might Sunday involve a long lie-in, a slap-up brunch and some TV and maybe, if you’re feeling adventurous, a trip to the local café or pub to sit down with the papers or watch some sport.
However, if you’re in a new relationship, then you need to make more of an effort than that, people! Forget the EastEnders repeats, last night’s leftover pizza and check out one of the fab Sunday markets in town. A stroll round one of these can also make a great first or second date, so listen in:
Greenwich Market 
This market was set up in 1700 on a World Heritage site and has up to 120 stalls showing antiques, arts, jewellery and collectables. There is also plenty on offer for fashionistas with edgy tailoring and independent outlets aplenty. Foodies also won’t be left disappointed – with food on offer from every corner of the globe, so arrive hungry.
Bricklane Market
This is one busy but fun marketplace, with the bustling streets lined with people selling their wares. Open every day but extra lively on Sundays, expect to peruse some second-hand furniture, funky clothes and kitsch collectables. Finish your date with a trip to one of the many curry houses or bagel shops along Brick Lane.
Columbia Road Flower Market 
If you live in or near London and have never been here now is the time to check it out. Overflowing with bucketfuls of beautiful blooms, there are freshly cut flowers, herbs, plants and everything inbetween. There is also a selection of independent shops selling pottery and gifts lining the streets. The market starts to wind down at 2pm, so get there beforehand and for the best display of flowers, get up and out as early as possible.
Marylebone Farmer’s Market
Putting Marylebone on the map as the place to go for great food on a Sunday, the farmer’s market runs out of a car park and hosts 30 to 40 stalls and is normally heaving with canvas bag-toting locals, plus visitors. Try a mushroom sandwich from The Mushroom Table or if they are to your taste, the freshly caught oysters from Simon Long are pretty good, too.
Spitalfields Market
Another market that is open every day of the week but is especially good for a Sunday trip. Stallholders sell every kind of food imaginable and the browsing options are endless with creations from emerging designers, vintage outlets, jewellery, books, homeware and bric-a-brac on display. Girls, leave the high heels at home for this visit.
