Clear your diary. The festival season is back in full swing with a line-up that’ll hit the right note for music lovin’ daters and cover all genre bases.
So, grab your moist wipes, dry shampoo and pop-up tent for two (or three) and put ya fest foot forward as we list the ‘best of the fests’ 2016!
When: June 9th – 12th
Where: Seaclose Park, Newport
Who: Queen, The Who and Stereophonics are confirmed as part of the line-up.
Tip: ‘When Nature Calls’ wristbands (£32.50) gain you access to well maintained, nice-smelling all flushing loos…
When: June 22nd – 26th
Where: Worthy Farm, Somerset (where else?)
Who: Adele, Coldplay and Muse to name a few.
Tip: Romantics may prefer quieter camping spots such as Cockmill Meadow and Dairy Ground…
When: July 1-3rd & 8-10th.
Where: Hyde Park, London
Who: Stevie Wonder, Florence & The Machine and Carol King. Take that! Sorry, and Take That!
Tip: You can head to some great traditional aftershow pubs in Belgravia – not far from the festival.
When: July 8-10th
Where: Finsbury park, London
Who: Wanna dance? Calvin Harris will be spinning the decks along with Chase & Status and Sigma.
Tip: Jess Glynne plays on Sunday if you tire of dance.
When: July 12th – 17th
Where: Kew Gardens, London
Who: Simply Red, The Corrs, Jools Holland and Will Young.
Tip: Head to nearby Waitrose or Tesco to pick up some bubbly and tasty picnic treats.
When: July 14th – 17th
Where: Henham Park, Suffolk
Who: Josh Widdicombe, Russell Howard and Paul Merton lead the comedy line-up, The Maccabees, Chvrches, The National and Laura Mvula do the music.
When: September 8th – 11th
Where: Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight.
Who: Back to the 80’s on the Saturday with The Cure headlining. Fatboy Slim, Katy B and Major Lazer are also up.
Tip: Want some quiet romantic solace? Head to the Solace Tea tent for some heavenly baked cakes. No really.
