A big shout out to everyone who attended last night’s Laissez-Faire SUMMER SPECIAL at St Christopher’s Place. Great to see so many of you enjoying the sunshine out on the piazza with a glass of vino and that all-important red straw! Special thanks to Cocochan, Ayoush and Lamb & Flag. And lest we forget all the freebies in between! After all that, you certainly won’t be short of a date destination or ten….
So, with the sun still beaming down upon us, why not start your weekend with a splash in one of London’s many outdoor swimming pools? Tooting Bec Lido is the largest open-air fresh water swimming pool in England – fully equipped with pantone-coloured changing huts preserved from the early 1900’s. Don’t forget your knotted hanky!
‘Profestionals’ (Professional festival-goers) will no doubt be ready for Lovebox: this week’s top party in a park. Giving it some welly will be Plan B, Goldfrapp, Kelis, Tinchy Stryder and just about anyone else who’s anyone. Tickets are still available for the Saturday and Sunday, so get yourselves loved up – now!!
Who said that you don’t know your neighbours when living in London ? And we don’t mean Harold Bishop. As part of the Festival of Neighbourhood at the Southbank Centre, it’s our task as Londoners to complete a poetry map of the city. Then see your words develop as they are made into physical art by some of the city’s most amazing artists, film makers and architects.
Whatever else you’re doing this weekend, enjoy the heatwave!
With a sip of our Aperol spritz,
The Lovestruck Lovebot
The next Lovestruck Laissez-Faire is at Patch Bar, Weds 24 July. It’s fun, free to attend and all are welcome to pop along (even non-Lovestruckers). So tell all your single friends/colleagues and have a drink or two at London’s hottest free ticket in town.
