It’s that time of the year again, the annual LOCO film festival (London comedy film festival). 
LOCO is a not-for-profit organisation with the mission of bringing fresh and excellent comedy to the masses.
For film and comedy lovers alike, events and screenings will make for a GREAT DATE.
Below we have listed some of the high lights of the festival.
For Gallic charm …
The UK premiere of Les Coquillettes, written, directed by and starring “The French Lena Dunham” Sophie Letourneur. Sophie is coming to London for the first time to talk about her film, which follows the romantic misadventures of three young women at the Locarno Film Festival, where Les Coquillettes was actually shot.

For music fans …
The world premiere of Benny and Jolene, starring Craig Roberts (Submarine, Skins) and Charlotte Ritchie (Fresh Meat) as a folk duo on tour. Benny loves Jolene, but Jolene … well, Jolene hasn’t made up her mind yet. Dress in your summer festival best and you can also join the party after the film, with music from Domino DJs.

For Latin lovers …
The UK premiere of We Are The Nobles, Mexico’s most popular comedy of all time. Henry Noble is a self-made millionaire who realises that he has spoiled his family, making them selfish and lazy. So he fakes bankruptcy, forcing them to fend for themselves for a while. A delightful twist on Trading Places.

Satire Day is a full day celebrating satirical comedy with guests including Ronni Ancona and Rory Bremner. There are also live performances, a history of satirical comedy and a special tribute to Sir David Frost by his producer Barney Jones.

Life drawing with a difference: join LOCO’s caricaturing class and learn the secrets of creating comic portraits. We provide the pencils, paper, easels and life models, you just bring a sense of humour. No experience required: LOCO’s expert tutor will guide you all the way.

LOCO celebrates contemporary sketch comedy with clips from the best shows of the century so far including Catherine Tate, Mitchell and Webb, Smack the Pony, Monkey Dust and many more. Live panel guests include Cariad Lloyd, Cardinal Burns, Watson and Oliver and other hot sketch acts.

For children of all ages …
A double bill of Buster Keaton’s greatest silent comedy classics, One Week and Cops, both with new live piano scores. There’s also LOCO’s School of Slapstick, teaching children aged 6-12 the techniques of the great silent comedians.

LOCO is also screening children’s classic Bugsy Malone.

The UK premiere of Diederik Ebbinge’s Matterhorn, which won the Audience Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival and Best Film at the Moscow Film Festival. It’s the story of Fred, a man who likes everything to be in order, until Theo walks into his life and turns everything upside down. Will this disruption finally break him, or free him to finally follow his dream of climbing the Matterhorn?
